Art exhibition, have a look at the world from refugee children’s perspective. Join our closing event and learn more about their experiences.
Closing Event Date: May 9th, 2018 between 16:00-18:00.
Guest Speaker: dr. Andreas Önver Cetrez
Political and economic instability has forced millions of people to make the dangerous crossing to Europe. The voice of migrants themselves is often all to absent from media and political discussions. Colours of a Journey is a project that collects and exhibits refugees children’s drawings across Europe, displaying their past but also their hopes and their dreams for the future. Come view and experience their stories at our exhibition from May 7th to 9th, between 15:00-18:00, and at our closing event on May 9th starting at 16:00 with honorary speaker Dr. Cetrez, senior lecturer in psychology of religion at Uppsala University and scientific coordinator of the EU Horizon 2020 respond project. He will speak about how refugees are intermediaries and transformers of cultural content and active bearers of knowledge, and he will give some examples from his personal and professional experience. There is the possibility to ask questions and exchange thoughts and opinions. Some cookies and hot beverages are provided during the closing event. Both the exhibition and the closing event are free for everyone
