Lecture held by Kristian Jensen, Head of Collections and Curation at British Library, on the managing of cultural heritage of other people.
Kristian Jensen is Head of Collections and Curation at British Library. He is currently Director of CERL (Consortium of European Research Libraries), President of the Bibliographical Society (UK) and the representative of British Library in the working group on spoliation of the National Museum Directors’ Conference. Jensen is also a PhD of Latin and a world leading authority in incunable research.
In his lecture, Jensen will talk about how the British Library deals with spoils of war and other kinds of controversial materials.
The lecture is followed by mingle and book release of ”Kulturarvsperspektiv. Texter från en seminarieserie om specialsamlingar.” edited by Peter Sjökvist. The book contains lectures from two seminars in 2016 and 2017 in the series Specialsamlingar i Sverige (Special Collections in Sweden), a cooperation between the University Libraries of Gothenburg, Lund and Uppsala.
