Switzerland - Study visit to CERN

UUSAC has the great pleasure to invite you to a special visit to CERN and the ATLAS experiment, the heart of one of the world’s largest particle-physics laboratories. Thanks to our fellow member Roger Ruber, UUSAC’s members have the opportunity to see CERN’s facilities both underground and on the surface.

After the visit we will meet in CERN’s restaurant for a nice After Work with food and drinks at own expense.


Don’t miss the opportunity to visit CERN and see the ATLAS experiment and meet fellow UUSAC members for After Work on the 7th October. Register asap since the number of participants are limited (see below for further information).

Visit Programme
16:30 Registration at the CERN Reception. Please be on time.
The visitors are divided into two groups of 6 persons
17:00 - 18:00 Group 1 - ATLAS Accelerator visit
18:00 - 19:00 Group 2 - ATLAS Accelerator visit
19:00 - 21:00 After Work at the CERN restaurant
Roger will also be guiding us through other areas of the CERN.


Registration
The number of participants is limited to 12 (two groups of maximum 6 persons). The
agelimit is 12 years. The places will be handed out on a first come first serve basis,
maximum two tickets per member.


Register your interest by sending the following information
to uusac@alumni.uu.se directly and keep your fingers crossed for an open seat:
- Last name
- First name
- Date of birth
- Place of birth
- Country of birth
- Nationality


Registration of interest are to be sent in no later than 12:00 CET on Monday 30th
of September 2019
. Please don´t forget to bring your ID/passport in order to recieve
a visiting pass to Cern.

No open shoes or high heals!
