Introduction to Mendeley - online

Mendeley is a free reference management program, used to generate citations and bibliographies. Besides reading, adding and organizing collections, Mendeley also offers ways for researchers to collaborate and connect, share papers, notes and annotations with colleagues. The primary target group for Mendeley is Phd students, researchers, and master students.

Mendeley is used to generate citations and bibliographies in Microsoft Word, LibreOffice, and LaTeX.  For graduate students looking for reference management software we recommend to choose a course in Zotero.

In the introductory course we will help you get started, install the software and create an account. We will cover how to create a reference library, save references to Mendeley, add PDF files to your Mendeley library, how to insert citations and create reference lists according to your chosen reference style in Word.

This course is free of charge and available for students and employees at Uppsala University.
