This is the first seminar of four in the IP and commercialisation course provided by UU Innovation in collaboration with the Swedish Patent and Registration Office (Patent & Registreringsverket, PRV).
The course is open to PhD students, postdocs and researchers from all disciplinary domains at Uppsala University.
For PhD students, the course provides 3 ECTS in your postgraduate education. For other participants who complete the course, a course diploma is provided.
The course gives a broad overview of different types of intellectual property (IP) and how it can be used to add commercial value to research outcomes, from describing impact in grant applications to licensing and creating startups. It will also provide tools for finding useful information from patents in your research area as well as for structuring and presenting research outcomes from a commercial point of view.
Registration deadline is 26 February.
