The course Dare to Speak helps you deal with and get knowledge about what happens in the body and mind when pressure to perform strikes, and teaches you strategies to cope with this.
Many students find public speaking difficult and can get quite anxious. Giving speeches, presenting group work, or just being active at seminars can be so difficult that you get physical symptoms and it can be hard to maintain your studies.
The Student Health Services' course Dare to Speak is to help you deal with this problem. You will learn about what happens in the body and mind when pressure to perform strikes, and get strategies to cope with this.
Exposure by practicing presentations with a group of students with similar difficulties will help you to gain confidence and increase your comfort and capabilities. Join us to face your fears and dare to speak!
Date and time: 5 Tuesdays (9 November – 7 December) at 15:15–16:45.
Registration: In person at the reception of the Student Health Services, Övre Slottsgatan 7, Uppsala (top floor) no later than 5 November.
