Dare to speak

Many students find public speaking difficult and can get quite anxious. Giving speeches, presenting group work, or being active at seminars can be so difficult that you get physical symptoms and it can be hard to maintain your studies.

As a student at Uppsala University, SLU (Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences) in Uppsala, and Johannelund School of Theology, you have access to all student groups and other events hosted by the Student Health Service.

This student group will help you deal with this problem. You will get knowledge about what happens in the body and mind when the pressure to perform strikes, along with strategies to cope with this. Exposure by practising presentations with students with similar difficulties can help you gain confidence and increase your comfort and capabilities. Join us to face your fears and dare to speak!

Date and time: Tuesdays at 14:15–16:45, starting 28 February.
Location: The Student Health Service in Uppsala, Övre Slottsgatan 7, 2 tr.
